William H. Swanson Elected to TJX Companies Board of Directors

The TJX Companies, Inc. , an off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide, with headquarters in Framingham, announced William H. Swanson was elected to its Board of Directors.

William Swanson, 65, is the former Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon Company, a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, security and civil markets throughout the world. He was Raytheon’s Chair and CEO from January 2004 to March 2014, and Chair until he retired in September 2014, after a 42-year career with the company. During Swanson’s tenure, he held a wide range of leadership positions, including setting strategy and managing operations for Raytheon’s global business.
