Hamilton-Wenham Beats One Triton Team, Falls to Another
The volleyball and field hockey teams both faced Triton on Thursday and came away with different results.

The Hamilton-Wenham Generals notched one win and one loss to Triton High School on Thursday as both the volleyball team and field hockey team faced the Vikings.
The Generals’ volleyball team came away with a straight set win 26-24, 25-23 and 25-17.
Sophomore outside hitter Ali Kimball had nine digs, while senior libero captain Cassidy Cring added 11 digs. Lauren Flynn had 15 kills and Cecily Szady hitting percentage was .417 on 12 attempts, six kills and one error.

The Generals’ field hockey team didn’t fare as well against Triton, losing the match 0-2.
Even so, coach Jenn Blaha said in a statement that juniors Katrena Freeman and Carter Shearer each played a ”great game.” Senior captain Maddie Werner “had some great saves in the goal and is doing a fantastic job.”

The volleyball team will face Marblehead Friday at 5:30 p.m., and the field hockey team is next in action on Monday vs. Pentucket.
