Hamilton-Wenham School Committee Looks To Fill Vacancy
Whoever takes over the position will hold it until the next School Committee election in May 2021.
HAMILTON-WENHAM, MA — The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee and the Wenham Board of Selectmen are looking for a Wenham resident to fill a position on the School Committee.
Whoever takes over the position will hold it until the next School Committee election in May 2021.
The School Committee is responsible for establishing educational goals and policies for the schools in the district consistent with Federal and State law and statewide goals and standards set by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), reviewing and approving budgets for public education in the district, and selecting and evaluating the Superintendent.

Applicants’ qualifications will be reviewed at a joint meeting of the Wenham Board of Selectmen and the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee. Candidates will be interviewed at a joint meeting of the Board and Committee to be held in early December 2020. The appointment will be made by a vote of the combined Board of Selectmen and the School Committee.
