Hamilton-Wenham Suffers a Five-Set Loss to Marblehead
The Generals pushed the match to the brink, but came up short.

The Hamilton-Wenham Generals volleyball team battled through its first five-set match of the season Friday in a 3-2 loss to Marblehead.
Marblehead jumped out to the one set lead (11-25), but Hamilton-Wenham came back to take the second set 25-21. The teams traded wins after that with Marblehead capturing the decided fifth set 11-15.
Generals’ senior captain libero Jess Reardon had 23 digs, while junior setter Tori Vivenzio served at 100 percent on 16 serves and had 15 assists.

Hamiltion-Wenham next plays in a home match against Georgetown on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
