Lynn Man Killed In Early Morning Wenham Route 128 North Crash

WENHAM, MA — A 31-year-old Lynn man was killed in a single-car crash on Route 128 northbound in Wenham early Monday morning, according to State Police.

Police responding out of the Danvers Barracks said they arrived at the scene about 1:15 a.m. to find a 2017 Toyota Camry off the highway near the wood line on the right side. Gilbert Kernei, 31, died in the crash.

Police said they had not determined the cause of the crash as of Monday morning, but that it is under investigation. Beverly police and fire and Wenham police assisted at the scene. A Salem State University police officer was the first to see the car off the road and reported the crash to State Police.
