New Boys' Basketball Coach Announced at Hamilton-Wenham
Michael DiMarino comes to Hamilton-Wenham from Winthrop High School.

Michael DiMarino has been named the new head coach for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School boys’ varsity basketball team.
DiMarino will step into the shoes of Doug Hoak, who has decided to retire after a long career that included the school’s first basketball state championship last March.
A large pool of candidates was considered for the position, according to a statement from Athletic Director Craig Genualdo.

“In the end, Michael’s previous experiences as a head varsity coach, his chosen career as an educator and the dozens of people that reached out to speak on his behalf, let us know he was the right person for the job,” Genualdo said.
DiMarino comes to Hamilton-Wenham from Winthrop High School where he headed up the Vikings program the last three years. Prior to that, DiMarino worked in the Cape Ann League as Masconomet’s junior varsity coach for four seasons. On the academic side of things, DiMarino was also an award-winning history teacher at Revere’s Rumney Marsh Academy,

DiMarino graduated from Bridgewater State and earned a master’s degree in education from Salem State.
