Premature Interest Charges Billed to Some Hamilton Residents

Some Hamilton residents may have noticed a tiny addition to their most recent water bills.

According to a post on the town website, a premature interest charge typically in the amount of about $.03 was added to some residents’ bills.

As long as the bill is paid by its due date, that extra interest charge can be ignored, the post reads. If full payment is made, including the interest amount, a credit will be given on the resident’s next bill.
