Snow Possible on Thanksgiving in Two Towns

A mix of rain and snow will make holiday travel dangerous, according to the National Weather Service.

A snowy Thanksgiving may be in store for Hamilton and Wenham.

The National Weather Service said there’s a strong likelihood of a ”wintry precipitation” event Wednesday night into Thursday morning. NWS said it was unclear how much snow and/or rain will fall, but it cautioned it will be enough to impact holiday travelers.

Any snow will likely melt by Thanksgiving afternoon, as temperatures are expected to warm to 40 degrees. Temperatures will dip for the weekend, as highs are expected to be in the low mid-30s.

To start the week, rain will soak Lexington most of the day Monday. Wind gusts could reach 50 mph, possibly knocking down power lines.
