Beverly, MA – The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is Saturday, May 10. With the need for food assistance growing in our community, the largest one-day food drive in the nation will be happening in your neighborhoods. Over the last 30 years, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has delivered close to 1.8 billion pounds of food to pantries, food banks, shelters, and churches across the country.
Leave a bag of non-perishable food next to your mailbox and your local letter carrier will pick up all donations on their regular delivery route on Saturday, May 10th. All food collected will then be sorted and distributed to local food pantries, including Beverly Bootstraps.
In June 2024, 80% of food banks in America reported steady or rising demand for food assistance, with 65% serving more neighbors than the year before. As of April 2025, 158 new households have signed up for food assistance at the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry alone.
