Wenham resident among organizers of 11th benefit for visiting nurses
"Caring Together, Let's Celebrate" will raise vital funds for VNA Care's home-based health care
Wenham resident Aimee Oliver is among the volunteers behind the 11th annual North Shore Spring Benefit for VNA Care, a nonprofit visiting nurse association, on Wednesday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Danversport, 161 Elliott St., Danvers.
“Caring Together, Let’s Celebrate!” will raise vital funds to advance the home-based health care and end-of-life programs VNA Care provides to patients and families in Wenham and other North Shore communities. The event’s Presenting Sponsor is Mutual of America.
VNA Care’s home health care nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and other clinicians help people avoid hospital stays, manage newly diagnosed or complex medial conditions, recover from surgery, and more. When an illness is terminal, VNA Care’s hospice team enables patients to live with dignity throughout the end-of-life journey and provides support to loved ones before and after their loss.

“We are so thankful for the dedicated work of all of our North Shore Community Cabinet volunteers. Their efforts are making a difference right here, close to home,” said Karen Webber, director of fund development for VNA Care.
The evening at Danversport will feature live music, auction, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, and more. Tickets for the benefit are $50 per person and may be purchased at www.vnacare.org/northshore.
