2. School Facilities Remain A Focus (hinghamanchor.com) — Hingham school leaders are seeking another $500,000 this spring to keep aging roofs and HVAC systems at Hingham High, Plymouth River, and South Elementary functioning until full replacements are funded. With $184,511 already spent from last year’s $500,000 emergency repair account and three projects accepted into a state accelerated repair program, residents can expect future Town Meeting warrant articles tied to detailed cost estimates.

3. Meeting date set for discussion of proposed 3% water rate increase; WRWS benefits from PFAS settlement (hinghamanchor.com) — Hingham water customers face a proposed 3% Weir River Water System rate hike for fiscal 2027, plus a new $65 annual capital fee starting July 1, 2026, to fund key tank projects in Hull and Hingham. A public meeting on Jan. 28 will explain the plan, while a new $2 million PFAS settlement will help pay for studies and upgrades to keep local drinking water in compliance.
