5 Hospitalized After Chemical Spill At Hutchinson Aerospace
Five workers were hospitalized after hazmat spill at Hutchinson Aerospace in Hopkinton.
HOPKINTON, MA — An chemical leak emergency at the Hutchinson Aerospace plant Friday night sent five people to the hospital, according to officials.
A drum containing trichloroethylene used as a parts cleaner started to leak, and some 30 gallons escaped, the State Fire Marshall reported. Most of the chemical was contained within equipment that malfunctioned.

Hutchinson was founded in 1853 as Barry Controls and is one of the world’s oldest rubber product manufacturers, according to the company website.
