5 Things to Know For Today's Boston Marathon
The 117th running of the Boston Athletic Association Marathon begins at 9 a.m. today.

1. Live Coverage: Patch editors will be located along the course covering the race from all different angles. Look for Holliston-Hopkinton Editor Sean at the starting line with Dover-Sherborn Editor Justin. We'll be taking pictures of the race and talking to everyone who came to town to cheer the runners on. Be sure to follow @HopkintonPatch on twitter for the fastest updates. Other editors will also be posted out all along the route into Copley Square.
2. Sixty-Two Local Runners: With 34 Hopkinton residents running and 28 Holliston residents in the race, chances are likely you'll know someone who's participating. Curious to know how they did? Check back later today for a list of finishing times.
3. Road Closures Begin Early: The Hopkinton Police Department will be closing roads in town starting at 7:30 a.m . but you'll want t be out before that because parking bans in downtown started early this morning. Chief Flannery said he expects the roads to be reopened by 1 p.m.

4. 10 Hopkinton Students as Spotters: For the 28th year students have been trained as spotters for the race. On race day, this team of well-trained spotters will call in real-time information from their designated mile within seconds to meet the needs of the live broadcast on Channel 4, WBZ-TV.
5. Weather Update: Last year might have been the but temperatures today should be about 20 degrees cooler. Highs are forecast to reach the low 60s in Boston today.
