Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. The has released the official list of ballot questions for the upcoming May election. Many include proposition 2 ½ overrides or other forms of tax increases.
2. Coming up this month, teacher Deb Pinto will be awarded a Goldin Award. Deb will be honored for outstanding achievements and contributions in the classroom and school.

3. Are you interested in hearing from a community leader of any type? At Hopkinton Patch we are going to begin doing a series of “fireside chats” where we will invite community members to ask questions of a certain town individual in a live online conversation.
