5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 20

Democrats are called to caucus and everyone is invited to enjoy the nice weather.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. Everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through someone they love. "Drive Thru Prayer" on Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at will be a fund-raiser to support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Come with a name of a loved one/friend/yourself to be prayed for on the spot in the parking lot by members of the church and give a donation to Team Buzz in the Relay for Life. The team was named in honor of Paul Buswell, a church member and long time Hopkinton resident who lost his battle with cancer in 2010. All of the profits go to the American Cancer Society. You are also invited to donate through the church web site www.woodvillebaptist.org.

2. Patch users are starting to get amped up for. town-wide “Spring Green-Up Day”; now complete with a “Shred Day”! Both events are scheduled for Saturday April 28 and will begin at 9 a.m. at the .

3. Did you vote for yet? The polls close at 9 a.m. today and the winner will be announced at noon. Don’t miss your chance to get your voice heard for this week.

4. If you’re a registered democrat don’t miss your chance to select representatives from the. The caucus begins at 1p.m.; registration starts at noon.

5. Today is the last day of April vacation, don’t miss your chance to get out and enjoy the nice weather. The sun will be shining and a high temperature of 73 is expected. Maybe even get out and enjoy a nice tropical pineapple drink to celebrate the summer weather.
