5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 2

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

Today we want to tell you about all of the different ways you can get involved in Hopkinton Patch.

1. Pics & Clips: Our gallery is a great way to share photos and videos you take of your family, your friends, sports games and everything else. Seriously! If you have a picture out took that you want more people to see, if you have an event you attended that we couldn't get to, the Pics & Clips gallery is a great catch all.

2. Blog: Blogging is all the rage, athletes do it, politicians do it and you can do it too! If you have something to say, whether it's about a hobby you have or the political trends in Hopkinton and beyond we want to hear what you need to say.

3. Create an Event: The sumertime is full of events, fundraisers, sports matches, concerts and sales. If you have an event you want help supporting post it by clicking here and we'll make sure to help spread the word.

4. Post an Announcement: Similar to events, announcements can help you inform people about what's going on. You can announce your engagement, the birth of your child, a gradution or just say thank you.
