1. Memorial Day is coming up on Monday, that means a three-day-weekend for nearly everyone (including Patch). The Town Hall will be closed on Monday, as will many other institutions in downtown.
2. Every year on the Friday before Memorial Day the scouts gather to replace old flags on the veteran's graves at with new ones. This event is coordinated by the American Legion, who will provide the new flags as well as bags for disposing of the old ones. All Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are welcome. This is a great activity for even the youngest scouts, because it is an active hands-on activity. Scouts should wear their uniforms.
