Beware Hopkinton Police and Fire are NOT Fundraising
After receiving multiple calls, The Hopkinton Fire Chief sent out an email informing residents that they are not doing a phone pledge drive.

This afternoon sent out an email informing residents that any calls asking for donations are fraudulent and to make sure not to donate.
"It has come to my attention today that a company or companies are conducting telephone requests for funding to assist the Hopkinton Fire Department. At this time the Hopkinton Fire Department and Hopkinton Permanent Firefighters Local 3772 ARE NOT conducting any fund raising efforts with outside entities. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for the residents of our community," the email said.
This follows a report from . The person was allegedly asking for donations on behalf of the and their families. The person who informed police said the caller had a southern accent and was very friendly on the phone.
