According to a release from the Hopkinton School Department, John Smith has withdrawn his name from consideration to be Hopkinton High's next principal. The Superintendent's office said the current Westborough High School Principal has accepted another job offer. The departure leaves Holliston High School Principal Michael Cournoyer as the only remaining finalist. Community members will be able to meet Cournoyer on April 3 in the High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Those who attend the public forum with Cournoyer will be able to provide feedback to Interim-Superintendent Steven Hiersche before a final decision is made.
