HOPKINTON, MA — A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to a stabbing that left another teen seriously injured Thursday, says Hopkinton Police Chief Joseph Bennett.

The Hopkinton teen, whose name can't be released because he's a minor, has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A 14-year-old boy was found in a Hopkinton apartment complex suffering serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He was immediately taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

The incident happened at an apartment complex on Constitution Court Thursday afternoon - the same complex that Mikayla Miller, a 16-year-old who was found dead in the woods from asphyxia by hanging, had lived in.

Miller was found the morning of April 18 in a wooded area called Berry Acres about a quarter-mile from the apartment complex. Her death sparked massive controversy among media outlets as many facts from her death were deemed unclear.

Activists said that top law enforcement officials had not properly investigated her death and Miller's mother has questioned whether her daughter was the victim of a lynching.

On May 18, the state Medical Examiner's Office ruled Mikayla Miller's death a suicide.
