Hopkinton High To Host Graduation Parade For Class Of 2020
The parade will be for cars only and seniors must have someone driving them.
HOPKINTON, MA — Hopkinton High School seniors will be able to gather to celebrate their graduation... sort of. The Hopkinton School District decided to allow a graduation car parade for the class of 2020.
The parade is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on May 30. The parade will also be broadcast live on HCAM TV.
The district has implemented a set of rules for seniors to follow to ensure the parade happens safely. One car will be allowed per senior, students can't ride in each other's cars. The district is also requiring each senior is driven by a friend or parent so that they can properly enjoy the parade without getting distracted.

Caps and gowns will be mandatory for seniors in the parade and there will be a check of each car before the parade starts.
Seniors and families are encouraged to decorate their cars in honor of the graduates.

Parade Route
-The parade starts at Loop Road at 1 p.m.
-The parade will make a right onto Hayden Rowe Street out of the high school and then a left at the light onto Chestnut Street.
-Cars will drive left onto Ash Street and up to Main Street, driving through downtown.
-The parade will take a right onto Wood Street and then a left onto Elm Street.
-The last bit of the parade will make a left onto West Main Street and a right onto Pleasant Street, ending on Hayden Rowe Street.
