Hopkinton Police To Host Annual Night Out
The Night Out will take place on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

HOPKINTON, MA — The Hopkinton Police Department will hold its annual Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the Town Common.
Night Out, which was first held in 2014, is a time for residents to come together with the police to build community partnerships.
"Chief Bennett is welcoming all of Hopkinton to enjoy the night," Sgt. Tim Brennan said.

"We're also hoping to get the state police helicopter and state police horses," Brennan said.
Last year's Night Out had to be canceled due to COVID-19. Brennan said there will be no need for any COVID-19 restrictions since this is an outdoor event.
"If people are more comfortable wearing a mask, they may wear a mask," he added.
"We're hoping for good weather," Brennan said. There is no rain date, so the event is "rain or shine," unless there is heavy rain, and then it would be canceled.
