Hopkinton's Main Street Corridor Project Fully Funded With Grant

A $3 million MassWorks infrastructure grant helped fully fund the project.

HOPKINTON, MA — Hopkinton's Main Street Cooridor Project is fully funded thanks to a grant from the MassWorks Infrastructure Program. The $3 million grant and an April 30th approval by the Metropolitan Planning Organization of the $11,346,564 Transportation Improvement Program budget brought the project to fully funded status.

The purpose of the Main Street Corridor Project is to improve roadway safety for vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians, as well as to reduce congestion throughout Hopkinton’s downtown corridor.

“This is a project that, given where we are now, is going to be very important for the economic growth and development of not only Hopkinton, but the MetroWest region,” said Town Manager Norman Khumalo.
