MetroWest Chamber CEO Joins Economic Development Planning Council

MetroWest Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Paul Joseph was sworn in Monday as a member of the Baker Administration’s Economic Development Planning Council.

The council is tasked with advising Gov. Charlie Baker on creating an economic development plan for the commonwealth. Housing and Economic Development Secretary Jay Ash has been leading a comprehensive process to gather and integrate feedback from a series of regional listening tours, meetings and public hearings to develop a statewide plan.

The administration is focused on stimulating and supporting economic growth that both identifies opportunities and determines priorities based on the varying strengths and needs within different regions across the commonwealth.

The economic development plan will be presented by the governor by the end of the year.

Prior to his current role with the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, Joseph founded and ran a local management consulting firm and served for more than six years as the chair of Natick’s Economic Development Committee.
