New Cruisers for Holliston Police

New police cruisers are patrolling Holliston's streets.

The  will receive up to 5 new cruisers in the coming months, one of which is currently in use by officers.

Two more cruisers are scheduled for delivery in two weeks. The Department will request a pair of additional vehicles in the fall.

After trade-in of old models, each new Dodge Charger will cost the department $28,000, Police Chief John Moore said.

"Our guys actually did a lot of studying up on the Dodges, they seem to be a good fit for the Department," Moore said.

Police vehicles accumulate miles quickly, as some are used 24-hours a day, Moore said. After 3 years of use, vehicles are often sold as parts deteriorate and repair costs multiply.
