Police Log: Domestic Incidents on Wood Street, Three Arrests

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 11

12:36 a.m.: An officer checked an unoccupied vehicle at the entrance to a South Street business. At 1:15 the vehicle was moved in to the parking lot. Nothing appeared out of place.

1:39 a.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle on West Main Street that appeared to belong to cleaners.

1:10 p.m.: A person from Main Street reported copper theft. Another house on West Main Street had a similar theft. An investigation is underway.

2:36 p.m.: A person from Wood Street called the to report that his brother just broke in to his house and assaulted him. The brother had since left the area.

3:33 p.m.: An officer assisted at a crash on Main Street.

3:55 p.m.: A 911 caller from Wood Street reported a domestic altercation between two family members.

5:07 p.m.: A person went in to the station to report a motor vehicle complaint.

8:44 p.m.: An officer sent a vehicle on their way after finding it parked at the Fruit Street fields.

9:39 p.m.: A resident of Hillcrest Drive reported that he could hear young people yelling in the neighborhood.

9:52 p.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle for a red light violation and charged them with minor in possession.

10:36 p.m.: A person reported a hit and run from West Main Street.

Saturday, May 12

12:30 a.m.: An officer spoke with a vehicle operator on Walcott Street.

12:52 a.m.: An officer from the Ashland Police Department reported a dead deer near Clinton Street and Front Street. A Hopkinton police officer located the dear and dragged it off the road.

12:53 a.m.: Laura A. Connolly, 41, of 46 School St., Upton, was arrested after failing to stop on West Main Street. Connolly was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, drunken-driving, negligent operation, failure to stop and a marked lanes violation. A second person was also taken in to protective custody at the same incident.

4:09 a.m.: An officer checked West Union Street where the Ashland Police Department reported a crash with a person fleeing on foot. The person was later found in Framingham.

8:27 a.m.: A caller reported a vehicle parked at the Fruit Street fields. The owner was waiting for AAA.

9:13 a.m.: An officer from Hopkinton assisted the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council with an incident in another town.

9:57 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of illegal dumping on Wood Street.

10:45 a.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle on Main Street.

4:10 p.m.: An officer responded to a complaint from Wood Street about a person running heavy equipment.

8:19 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of dirt bikes on Lakeshore Drive.

8:47 p.m.: An officer checked a truck on the Cedar Street extension.

9:35 p.m.: An officer filed a complaint application for possession of a controlled substance after checking a vehicle at the Fruit Street soccer fields.

11:33 p.m.: An officer assisted the fire department on Smith Road.

Sunday, May 13

7:15 a.m.: An employee from a Saddle Hill Road business reported overnight vandalism.

11:16 a.m.: A motorist on Hayden Rowe Street reported a suspicious male hitchhiking.

6:09 p.m.: An officer assisted the with an alarm incestigation on Parkwood Drive.

6:12 p.m.: A caller from West Main Street reported a restraining order violation. Michael Frnacis Roy, 31, of 32 Pine Island Rd., Milford, was placed in protective custody before being arrested on charged related to violating his restraining order.

7:43 p.m.: A caller reported that a van in front of her on West Main Street was operating erratically. After stopping the van an officer arrested Robert J. Lemay, 46, of 60 Trahan Ave., Worcester, on charges of failure to stop and drunken-driving.
