Police Log: Man Spit on During Assault

Tuesday, April 24

6:35 a.m.: arrested Ronivaldo Ramos Desousa, 39, of 160 Elm St., Marlborough, and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with an inspection and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

8:22 a.m.: A caller from Briarcliff Drive reported a dog kept barking at a crew working in her yard. The caller reported that no one was bitten. was notified.

8:32 a.m.: An officer assisted with a bus evacuation drill at the schools on Hayden Rowe Street.

1:12 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a fire alarm activation on West Main Street. An officer stood by and assisted the .

2:02 p.m.: A caller reported a low hanging wire in front of his Cunningham Street residence. An officer checked the area and contacted Verizon.

2:41 p.m.: An officer helped get a disabled motor vehicle off the roadway and in to a parking lot. A tow service arrived the change a tire on the vehicle.

4:04 p.m.: A caller reported an aggressive driver on South Street.

5:22 p.m.: A caller reported an assault on Hayden Rowe Street. A man allegedly ran up to the driver in his vehicle before hitting him and spitting on him. An officer spoke to the people involved in the incident and filed a report.

7:06 p.m.: A caller reported that two dogs were tied up on Wood Street in the woods on a neighbor’s property. The caller said this was strange and that the dogs had been barking all day. Animal Control was notified.

8:32 p.m.: Several callers reported a vehicle off the roadway and a person seen fleeing from the vehicle on Front Street. Hopkinton officers responded as did officers from the Ashland Police Department who were in the area. The APD officers found the operator who was arrested. Derek J. Santasky, 22, of 72 Main St., Milford, was charged with marked lanes violation, leaving the scene of property damage and drunken-driving.

10:32 p.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle on West Main Street and spoke with the operator.
