Police Log: Two Cars Hit Houses, One Arrest

Thursday, May 24
12:06 a.m.: A caller from Daniel Shays Road reported what she believed to be a series of gunshots. A checked the area but did not find anything suspicious.
12:49 a.m.: An officer checked several cars on West Main Street.

1:13 a.m.: An officer checked a car on Wood Street.
4:35 p.m.: An officer assisted the Upton Police Department with giving a breath test.

6:11 a.m.: A caller reported a tree that had fallen over and was blocking B Street. The was contacted to remove the tree and the was notified that the road was blocked.
7:22 a.m.: A caller reported a vehicle cutting her off on West Main Street.
7:59 a.m.: A caller complained that construction equipment was being used on South Street prior to 7 a.m.
10:57 a.m.: An officer spoke with a site manager on West Main Street about working prior to 7 a.m.
11:03 a.m.: An officer checked a person on Hillcrest Drive.
11:15 a.m.: An officer checked a car parked on Main Street.
12:15 p.m.: Hopkinton police officers arrested Mindy A. Wills, 25, of 33 Blueberry Ln., on charges of assault and battery. Wills was transported to Salem by the Salem Police Department.
12:53 p.m.: A caller reported construction materials being dumped at the end of her driveway on College Street.
7:07 p.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported a vehicle that hit a house on West Main Street and continued driving. Officers from the police and fire department responded along with an ambulance that transported one person to the hospital.
9:03 p.m.: A 911 caller reported three suspicious youths walking down West Elm Street. An officer spoke with the children who were waiting for their friend to return home.
9:06 p.m.: Several callers reported a car crash on Wood Street.
9:24 p.m.: The vehicle was towed and although the operator was not arrested a criminal application for driving to endanger was issued.
