Wednesday, May 9 2:24 p.m.: Verizon and NStar were advised of a rotted pole leaning on to the roadway on Downey Street. They both said they would respond. 2:45 p.m.: An officer from the spoke to a person on Main Street who reported that his car was stolen. 8:00 p.m.: An officer working a detail on Elm Street stopped a vehicle that almost hit him. The officer arrested Domenic R. Cucinotta, 59, of 12 Woodridge Rd., Milford and charged him with speeding, operating with a suspended license, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, drunken-driving and failure to stop for police. 11:58 p.m.: AAA reported that a customer struck a telephone pole on Fruit Street.  A criminal application was filed for the driver with charges of drunken-driving and speeding.
