Police Log: Two Stolen Mailboxes on OUI Arrest

Friday, May 25
12:57 a.m.: An officer spoke with four people on Hayden Rowe Street and sent them on their way.
2:03 a.m.: A caller from Hillcrest Drive reported a loud black pickup truck in the area.

8:33 a.m.: An officer from the assisted the Ashland Police Department with a prisoner transport.
12:59 p.m.: A caller reported multiple pickup trucks speeding through parking lots at the High School with occupants hanging out of the windows.

3:09 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a car crash on Main Street with airbag deployment and personal injuries. One person was taken to the hospital.
4:14 p.m.: The Ashland Police Department reported an erratic motorcyclist headed toward Hopkinton on East Main Street. The biker wasn’t found.
6:37 p.m.: A caller from Pleasant Street reported that a vehicle had been parking partially in the road for several days causing a hazard. An officer checked the area but did not notice any dangers.
8:23 p.m.: A caller reported a minor crash on Main Street.
9:37 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic tractor-trailer on Rte. 495. An officer caught up the vehicle, which had stopped, and spoke to the driver.
Saturday, May 26
2:30 a.m.: Officers assisted the Southborough and Ashland Police Departments with a search after a crash.
8:19 a.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported a tractor-trailer that took down telephone poles on Grove Street. Officers were dispatched for traffic control while NStar and Verizon responded.
11:32 a.m.: A person from Woody Island reported a dumpster that was filled with trash not affiliated with the disposal site. An officer made contact with the person responsible and had them remove the trash.
2:20 p.m.: A resident reported loud music on going for several hours on Grove Street.
3:29 p.m.: A resident of Saddle Hill Road reported that a medium sized brown dog had been running in the road chasing people on bikes. Animal Control had been contacted previously but the problem was not solved.
6:08 p.m.: An officer issued a verbal warning for a lanes violation on Hayden Rowe Street.
8:17 p.m.: An officer removed youths from a location on Cedar Street.
9:33 p.m.: the Ashland Police Department requested that the Hopkinton Police Department search for a black Crown Victoria. The Ashland PD was advised that there were teens in the car drinking. Officers did not find the car.
10:46 p.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked behind Bill’s Pizza.
11:11 p.m.: A caller reported a loud noise coming from Pleasant Street. An officer found that it was a pool pump. The owner turned it off.
Sunday, May 27
12:27 a.m.: An officer checked a car on South Street.
8:02 a.m.: A resident of Nicholas Road reported that their mailbox was gone, post and all.
8:30 a.m.: A caller from Chestnut Street reported a very large turtle trying to cross the road.
8:47 a.m.: An officer spoke to a person on Teresa Road about removing a vehicle.
2:15 p.m.: An adult male fell down the hill at the main beach in Hopkinton State Park and hurt his shoulder.
3:16 p.m.: Officers responded to a construction site on Wood Street were vehicles were working in violation of the town’s bylaws.
4:51 p.m.: A caller from Colella Farm Road reported that their entire mailbox was stolen overnight.
4:30 p.m.: An officer performed a person check.
6:09 p.m.: An officer spoke to a resident of Nicholas Road whose bike and gas tank had been stolen. While canvasing the area they found the mailbox from a different address.
6:49 p.m.: An officer spoke with several people on Church Street.
9:44 p.m.: An officer checked the Maple Street area after a report of fireworks.
Monday, May 2
12:05 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle on West Main Street.
12:35 a.m.: An officer found a person walking on Hayden Rowe Street and transported the, to Teresa Road.
12:59 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street and arrested Jeffrey T. Towle, 20, of 61 Downey St., on charges of drunken-driving and marked lanes violation. They also took a second person in to protective custody.
2:26 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious black vehicle that had been parked on Hayden Rowe Street for at least 45 minutes.
2:32 a.m.: An officer responded to a hit and run on Chestnut Street where a driver went off the road and hit a mailbox.
8:32 a.m.: An officer assisted with traffic while a tractor-trailer made a deliver on Grove Street.
9:13 a.m.: An officer reported mailbox vandalism at Thayer Heights.
11:14 a.m.: Officers responded to the location of an abandoned 911 call on Eastview Road. While at the residence the spoke with people who had been involved in a verbal argument. While at the house they also located a narcotic violation.
2:15 p.m.: A caller reported loud Music on Price Street. An officer checked the area but didn’t notice any music.
6:40 p.m.: A caller from Frankland Road reported that a man in a grey sedan stopped and said he was looking for “two little kids”. The caller found this suspicious. Officers checked the area and reported the incident to the Ashland PD but couldn’t find the vehicle.
9:44 p.m.: An officer checked a vehicle on Wilson Street.
