Police to Host Motorcycle Cruise for K9 Unit

Police hope Saturday's fundraiser will finish the fundraising efforts for the department's K9 unit.

Motorcycle drivers will ride 50 miles through nearby towns in support of Holliston Police Department's K9 unit on Saturday.

"We are expecting a very large showing on Saturaday. I would be surprised if we had under 100 motorcycles. With the expected forecast calling for 80 degree weather and sunny, I would anticipate a lot of last minute arrivals as well," Matt Stone, a Holliston Police Officer said in an email.

The department has raised more than $14,000 out of their $20,000 needed to start the K9 unit.

Stone said police hope funds from the event will bring fundraising numbers over the department's goal.

Motorcyclists looking to join the event can head to the Police Department's website for more information.
