National Judicial Outreach Week, an initiative of the American Bar Association since 2017, is observed during the month of March with the annual theme, "Preserving the Rule of Law." In 2019, the Trial Court expanded the program to a full month to enable wider participation.
This year, judges from the Boston Municipal, District, Probate and Family, Housing, Juvenile, Land, and Superior Courts, and justices from the Appeals Court will participate in virtual or in person visits to local middle and high schools, colleges, councils on aging, and public libraries statewide to educate the public on different aspects of the judicial branch, how the American legal system works, and the work that judges do in courts every day.
