Suspicious Backpack, Vehicle Investigated After Marathon Bombing

Thursday, April 18
6:58 a.m.: A resident went in to the Holliston Police Department to report a suspicious backpack on the sidewalk in front of St. Mary’s church. An officer responded and spoke to a woman who had left the backpack there while she crossed the street to mail a letter.
10:30 a.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash on Elm Street. Both vehicles were towed and two people were taken to the hospital.

Friday, April 19
3:11 a.m.: An officer watched the Mr. Clean gas station on Ashland Street at the request of the property owner.

9:09 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a suspicious motor vehicle that matched a description of a vehicle possible driven by the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. The Milford Police Department was notified of the vehicle because it was headed toward their town.
6:25 p.m.: A caller reported seeing a person that looked like the Boston Marathon bombing suspect on Norfolk Street. Officers responded but could not locate the person.
Saturday, April 20
6:55 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Church Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with unlicensed operation and operating without an inspection sticker.
7:17 p.m.: A caller reported three suspicious males on the rail trail.
Sunday, April 21
12:30 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Church Street. After passing two field sobriety tests the driver was issued a ticket for speeding.
