Woman Causes Disturbance, Arrested After K9 Search

Tuesday, April 9

1:09 p.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that the dumpster at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts was emptied at 3 a.m. The trash company was notified to not repeat.

4:13 p.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with a brush fire on Elm Street.

4:53 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle and arrested the driver, Michael R. Murray, 28, of 40 Purchase St., Apt. 3, Milford. Murray faced warrant charges of operating a vehicle without an inspection sticker and possession of a class C substance. In addition the passenger, Matthew A. Pittman, 31, of 79 Reservoir St., Mansfield was arrested. Pittman was charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute and possession of a class B substance.

7:17 p.m.: An officer spoke to workers at Legacy Farms who were working beyond permitted hours.

Wednesday, April 10

5:22 p.m.: A caller from Wilson Street reported an out of control female who was causing a disturbance. When officer arrived the female ran in to the woods. With the help of the Ashland K9 unit the female was located and arrested. Katy Lynn Gersh, 28, of 11 Summer St., Apt. 3, Westborough was charged with assault and battery and larceny over $250.
