HOPKINTON, MA — A main road connecting Westborough and Hopkinton will close beginning in February due to a bridge replacement.

The $12.5 million Fruit Street bridge replacement project will begin on Feb. 7 and last until spring 2023. Fruit Street crosses the Sudbury River and MBTA tracks just south of Southville Road, bringing drivers south to Route 135.

Drivers can detour around the closure using either Route 85 or Route 9 to Route 135, according to MassDOT.
