Art for Music: JP Music Fest Gears Up

The third annual Jamaica Plain Music Festival will take place in September.

It's still cold outside now, but before long residents from all around the area will head to Pinebank Field at Jamaica Pond for the neighborhood's third annual music festival.

Several local artists will donate work to Art for Music: A JP Music Festival Fundraiser. The event will take place at Doyle's Braddock Cafe March 24 beginning at 2 p.m.

The event will feature live music from JP musicians Mark Killianski (bluegrass guitar from 2-3pm) and Peter Sykes (Harpsichord from 3-4pm), as well as more than 50 silent auction items donated from local artists and organizations.
