Eliot School Organizes Volunteer Safety Patrol

Following the recent robberies – one of an Eliot School teacher – the school is asking for volunteers to stand outside during late afternoon and night hours.

After two gunpoint robberies last week, Abigail Norman, director of the Eliot School, is looking for volunteers to participate in a neighborhood watch and patrols.

“I would like to organize groups of neighbors and volunteers to stand out in the evenings,” Norman wrote in an email to the neighborhood Saturday. “As a school, our greatest need is during the periods around 6:30-7pm and 9-9:30pm when students travel to and from our classes. Sunset right now is around 5:40, so I imagine the neighborhood would like groups to be out starting around that time as people come home from work and after-school activities.”

To participate, email anorman@eliotschool.org.
