Readers React to Empty South St. Storefronts

Three addresses are vacant at this section of South Street.

The citizens of Jamaica Plain have spoken: they want a variety of businesses to line the main commercial sectors of the neighborhood.

When Jamaica Plain Patch published a photo of a section of South Street with three vacant storefronts, the public responded with ideas on what should move into the space:

Nicole Pittman said: "Peace o' Pie!! (Vegan pizza place!)"

Eddie G. said: "I would love to see a taco place (we need one of those), coffee shop or a even a wine and cheese shop. But please just like the above JP residents and posters stated, NO MORE SALONS!"

Lindsay LeClair said: "It would be nice to have a gluten free bakery or a non-vintage consignment store."
