5 Things: Silly Storytime and a Concert

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 23 in Lexington.

1. A Silly StorytimeBeginning at 10:30 a.m., you can drop by Elephant's Trunk for a selection of stories that will be sure to leave you smiling the whole day -- it is National Tell an Old Joke Day, after all. 

2. Today in Public MeetingsAccording to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Community Farm Committee at 8 a.m. at the Town Office Building, the Policy Manual Committee at 9 a.m. at the Town Office Building, the Housing Partnership Board at 10 a.m. at Cary Hall and the Sustainable Lexington Committee at 7 p.m. at Cary Hall. 

3. Free Concert at Hastings ParkThe Lexington Bicentennial Band will perform from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at Hastings Park. Admission is free, and all are invited to bring picnics, beach chairs and blankets.

5. Looks Like Rain: Should be mostly cloudy today, with a high of 80 and a chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more likely precipitation overnight and a low of 67.
