Medford Mayor Endorses Sciortino for Markey's Seat in Congress

Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn is backing the hometown favorite.

McGlynn endorsed fellow Medford resident, state Rep. Carl Sciortino, for congress Saturday at a rally at the candidate's campaign headquarters at 23 Forest St.

Sciortino, a 34-year-old Tufts alumnus, is running for now Senator Ed Markey’s former 5th Congressional seat. He has represented parts of Medford and Somerville in the 34th Middlesex District since 2004. His campaign website iswww.carlforcongress.com.
