• Local teen, Kayleigh McCormack, missing since Jan. 5 (lexobserver.org) — Lexington police are asking residents to help locate 16-year-old Kayleigh McCormack, who was last seen Jan. 5 around 4:30 p.m. at Pelham Academy on Pelham Road in Lexington. She has previously been reported missing multiple times, and anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Christopher Ducharme at (781) 862-1212.
   

• Better by the Mile: Mass. mom takes on extreme world marathon challenge (wcvb.com) — A Lexington mother, Cathy Gill, recently completed seven marathons on seven continents in just seven days to honor her late daughter, Courtney. She joined The Great World Race to raise awareness and funds for Shatterproof, a nonprofit supporting families affected by addiction and fighting stigma around substance use disorders.
   

• Judge Rules in Favor of Christian Dad Seeking to Opt Out Young Son from LGBT Lessons (cbn.com) — A recent federal court ruling directly affects Lexington Public Schools, granting a Christian father a preliminary injunction to opt his kindergarten-aged son out of certain LGBTQ-themed storybooks. The judge found the parent likely to succeed on his First Amendment claim, citing a Supreme Court precedent on parental rights. The case will continue, but the injunction currently restricts how the district can use specific materials.
