Here at Cutting Edge Boston in Lynn, MA, we are raising funds to pay for the production of face shields to protect Covid-19 front line workers in Massachusetts hospitals.

We want to do our part and support our community during these tough times. Cutting Edge Boston is a laser cutting company that specializes in etched photography glassware and custom home goods. We are switching our production from home goods to making PPE so we can help our local front line workers.

Here are the details and how to get involved.

The shield is an open source file from Georgia Tech (Georgia Institute of Technology). It is a laser cut shield that consists of two parts, a visor and a thin plastic shield. The visor is cut from acrylic and can be sterilized and reused. The disposable shield assembles easily to the visor.

We would like to donate 3000 units to hospitals and healthcare providers over the next 6 weeks. All funds will be used to purchase supplies for this project.
