Multiple Route 95 Lynnfield Crashes With Injuries Jam Traffic Thursday

LYNNFIELD, MA — Multiple crashes on Route 95 southbound in Lynnfield caused a mess of a mid-morning drive to the North Shore on Thursday.

WBZ-AM reported that a crash with injuries happened at about 9:30 a.m. with traffic jammed approaching the Route 60 Salem Street exit.

About 45 minutes later, a second crash was reported in the traffic backup to the original crash with the left lane blocked and traffic backed up to Route 1.

The station said at about 10:30 that while the original crash had cleared, the secondary crash remained active at that time with ongoing backups.

An 11:30 a.m. update said all crashes had cleared with residual backups remaining to Route 1.
