
A Healthy Lynnfield is offering scholarships to two Lynnfield High School seniors who best embody the mission and values of A Healthy Lynnfield. The recipients will have a proven track record of healthy living and positive, value-driven decision making. Applicants will be evaluated by considering their academic standing, community service history, and established commitment to healthy living.
Criteria:
- LHS graduating senior.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Recipients must have an established record of service in the Lynnfield community.
- Preference will be given to students who have volunteer, work or community service experience in health-related organizations and/or who are active members of student activities that embody principles of good health, such as but not limited to: A Healthy Lynnfield Youth Council, athletics, local hospital volunteer work, volunteer or paid work with Community Schools, Recreation Department or other youth-serving or health related organization.
The application deadline is 5/1/2024 and the recipients will be notified by: 5/24/2024

LHS seniors interested in applying should include a list of involvement and any leadership positions held in extracurriculars such as sports, clubs, organizations, volunteer work, or jobs. They must also submit their transcript, two relevant letters of recommendation (which can be emailed directly by the writer to ahealthylynnfield@gmail.com), and a response to the following questions in 300 words of less:
- How have you exemplified healthy living during your time at Lynnfield High School?
- How will your future academic/career/post-high school goals reflect a commitment to healthy living?
All required materials must be submitted with student name, email address, and mailing address in the body of the email to ahealthylynnfield@gmail.com with the subject line: Healthy Living Scholarship Application.

Applicants who do not fully respond to the scholarship questions, leave out required material, or who do not fit scholarship criteria, will not be considered for the award. Applications, once submitted, will be blindly reviewed by A Healthy Lynnfield's scholarship committee.
A Healthy Lynnfield will award two Lynnfield High School students with a ($500) scholarship to be applied to college costs.
