DA: Teen Shooting Suspect Arranged to Meet With Victim
Tyrell Berberena, Jr., 17 of Malden, faces charges of armed assault to murder and possession of a large capacity firearm.
The 17-year-old arrested in connection with Monday's shooting of another 17-year-old near Warren Street allegedly knew the victim and had arranged to meet when the shooting happened, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

At 10:31 a.m. on Monday, Malden Police responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Warren Street and Eastern Avenue, according to the DA's press release. Police found the victim with an "obvious gunshot wound;" he was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital according to earlier reports and is currently being treated.
