Families Displaced by Converse Ave. Fire

Fire on 38 Converse Avenue has displaced three families.

A fire that broke out this morning at 38 Converse Ave. in Malden has left several families displaced and looking for shelter, according to a report published on BostonHerald.com Sunday.

Emergency communications indicated the fire broke out around 8 a.m. Sunday in the third floor of the building.

Malden Deputy Fire Chief Bill Sullivan told the Herald that nine people from three families have been displaced and the Red Cross is seeking shelter for two of the families. The Herald reported moderate damage to the third floor and water damage to other floors of the building.
