Poets have been writing list poems for thousands of years. They usually start with an unfinished sentence and are then followed by a long list of all the possibilities.

We’re asking the Patch community to help us write a list poem in honor of the first day of summer. Just finish this opening line to the Gershwin tune, “Summertime” by typing one word or short phrase in the comment section below: “Summertime (in Malden) and the living is _________________________.”
