Malden Among MA Towns With Highest Rate Of Opiate Overdose Deaths
WCVB Channel 5 says Malden ranks in the top 20 Mass. towns for opiate deaths per capita.

A report released by WCVB Channel 5, with information culled from the Mass. Department of Public Health, says Malden has had the 19th most opiate overdose deaths per capita in Massachusetts.
Ware, Mass., topped the list at 1.
It should be noted that per capita implies a ratio based on population, as opposed to overall number of deaths.

The entirety of Middlesex County has been plagued by an exponentially increasing opiate addiction problem throughout the last few years.
More people in the community died from overdoses during the first three and a half months of 2015 than in the 12 months of 2012 combined.
