Malden Announces Date For Cemetery Cleanup

MALDEN, MA — The city announced that its spring cleanup of Forestdale Cemetery is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 21.

Community members are being asked to remove any decorations before the cleaning begins, or else they will be discarded. Each grave has a “garden area” which stretches 10 inches in width from the base of the monument in which decorations can be placed.

Items that are not allowed on grave monuments include fencing and borders, plants such as shrubs, trees, and bushes, and open flames such as candles or lanterns.
