Malden City Hall To Reopen By Appointment Only
All city departments are expected to be moved into the new building on Pleasant Street by the end of the week.
MALDEN, MA — City Hall will reopen to the public by appointment only starting Monday, Aug. 17. All city departments have moved into the new building at 215 Pleasant St., except for the City Clerk's office, which is expected to be moved in by the end of the week.
On June 1, the city began the first phase of the process of reopening its offices with the return of staff on a limited basis and with staggered schedules. On Monday, the city will begin Phase 2 of that process. This continues the staggered scheduling of staff, adjustments to accommodate social distancing and a modified schedule.

- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8 AM to 5 PM
- Tuesday: 8 AM to 7 PM
- Closed on Friday
City Hall will be open to the public by appointment only for now. Residents are required to continue to conduct business online to the greatest extent possible to limit the in-person business to that which must be conducted in person. Meetings will be scheduled only in the event there is city business which cannot be conducted online. Members of the public entering the building will be welcomed by a greeter who will confirm their appointment with the department. Contact information of all visitors will be recorded and all who enter the building must be wearing a face covering. Hand sanitizer will be provided to visitors prior to proceeding to the office where they are conducting business.
